Store Policies

At Devan’s Diamonds, every piece that leaves our store matters to us. Many of our pieces are made, modified, sized, set, engraved, or repaired specifically for the person wearing them. The policies below help keep expectations clear while allowing us to stand behind the work we do.

Custom Jewelry

Custom jewelry includes any piece designed, manufactured, modified, engraved, personalized, or specially ordered for a customer.

A deposit may be required before design work, stone sourcing, CAD work, material ordering, or production begins.

Once custom work has begun, deposits are non-refundable. Completed custom and personalized jewelry is considered final sale and is not eligible for return or exchange.

Customers will generally have an opportunity to approve the design before production. Approval of a CAD rendering, sketch, stone selection, or other design representation constitutes approval to move forward with production.

Because CAD renderings and digital images are representations of a finished piece, minor differences in proportions, finish, color, texture, stone appearance, or other details may occur in the completed jewelry.

Changes requested after a design has been approved or production has begun may result in additional charges and may affect the completion date.

Custom Order Timelines

We will always do our best to provide an accurate estimated completion date. Because custom jewelry involves design, manufacturing, stone setting, engraving, finishing, sourcing, and sometimes outside suppliers, completion dates are estimates unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

We will communicate any significant delays whenever possible.

Diamonds & Gemstones

Diamond and gemstone characteristics, including color and appearance, can vary depending on lighting, photography, computer screens, and viewing conditions.

When applicable, Devan’s Diamonds will disclose whether a diamond or gemstone is natural, laboratory-grown, treated, or otherwise requires disclosure.

Laboratory reports and grading reports are issued by independent grading laboratories. Devan’s Diamonds does not control or guarantee the opinions or grading standards of an independent laboratory.

Customer-Supplied Stones & Jewelry

We are happy to work with customer-supplied diamonds, gemstones, and jewelry when appropriate.

Existing jewelry and gemstones may contain hidden damage, previous repairs, fractures, inclusions, wear, or structural weaknesses that are not visible during an initial inspection.

While we take reasonable care with every item entrusted to us, certain stones and jewelry may carry additional risk during sizing, setting, repair, cleaning, polishing, stone removal, or other work.

We will discuss any significant concerns we identify before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.

Jewelry Repairs

Repair estimates are based on the condition of the jewelry that can reasonably be observed during inspection. Additional issues may be discovered once work begins.

If additional work or cost is required beyond the original scope of the repair, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer for approval before proceeding.

Repairs restore or improve the specific areas being serviced but do not make an older piece of jewelry new. Unless specifically included in the repair, Devan’s Diamonds is not responsible for unrelated future failure of worn, damaged, previously repaired, or weakened areas of the piece.

Sizing & Fit

Ring sizing is performed according to the size requested or agreed upon at the time of service.

Finger size can fluctuate due to temperature, activity, weight changes, swelling, medications, and other factors outside of our control.

Additional sizing requested after a ring has been completed may be subject to an additional charge.

Certain rings, designs, stones, engravings, and eternity-style settings may have limitations on how much they can safely be resized.

Returns & Exchanges

Eligible, non-custom merchandise may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase when accompanied by proof of purchase and returned in original, unworn, unaltered, and undamaged condition.

The following are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange:

• Custom-designed jewelry

• Special orders

• Personalized or engraved merchandise

• Jewelry that has been sized or altered

• Previously worn merchandise showing signs of wear

• Completed repair or service work

• Items specifically identified as final sale at the time of purchase

Refunds, when approved, will be issued to the original form of payment whenever possible.

Deposits & Special Orders

Deposits secure materials, stones, design work, labor, or merchandise specifically allocated to an order.

Deposits on custom work and special-order merchandise become non-refundable once design work, sourcing, ordering, manufacturing, alteration, or other work associated with the order has begun.

Any exceptions are at the discretion of Devan’s Diamonds.

Jewelry Care

Fine jewelry requires routine care and maintenance.

Normal wear—including scratches, dents, stretched chains, worn prongs, loose stones, damaged clasps, or damage caused by impact—is not considered a manufacturing defect.

We encourage customers to have frequently worn jewelry periodically inspected and professionally cleaned.

Warranty

Devan’s Diamonds stands behind the quality of our workmanship.

If you believe there is a problem related to workmanship performed by us, please bring the piece to our store so we can inspect it.

Warranty coverage does not include normal wear and tear, accidental damage, loss, theft, improper care, damage caused by another jeweler or repair facility, or damage resulting from failure to maintain the jewelry.

Any warranty determination will be made after inspection of the item.

Pricing & Availability

Prices and product availability are subject to change without notice.

Diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, and other materials are market-driven commodities, and pricing may change between an initial inquiry or estimate and the placement of an order.

A quoted price is not considered final until the order or estimate has been accepted within any applicable quoted timeframe.

Website Images & Information

We make every reasonable effort to accurately represent our jewelry online.

Photography, lighting, magnification, screen settings, and other factors may cause jewelry, gemstones, and metals to appear slightly different in person.

Product measurements, carat weights, dimensions, and other specifications may be approximate unless specifically stated otherwise.
